We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day running of our warm and welcoming 50-bed care home in Alton, Hampshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate care professional looking to take the next step in their leadership career. The Deputy Manager role is ideal for someone ready to make a meaningful impact within a well-established home.

The Role:

As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining compliance with CQC standards. The Deputy Manager will support staff development, oversee clinical and care practices, and contribute to creating a positive and supportive environment for residents, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

* As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the overall management of the care home

* Ensure high standards of care and compliance with CQC regulations

* Lead, supervise, and motivate the care team in your role as Deputy Manager

* Assist with care planning, audits, and quality assurance

* Manage staffing levels, rotas, and staff performance

* Act as Manager in their absence, taking full responsibility as Deputy Manager

* Promote a safe, compassionate, and resident-focused culture

About You:

* Experience in a senior or deputy role within a care home environment, ideally as a Deputy Manager

* Strong leadership and communication skills

* Good understanding of CQC standards and regulatory requirements

* Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care

* NVQ Level 3 or above in Health & Social Care (Level 5 desirable or working towards)
