About the PupilsStudents attending this provision may present with a variety of needs, including:* Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)* ADHD and associated behavioural needs* Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)* Trauma backgrounds, including adverse childhood experiencesMany pupils may have experienced disruption in education and may display behaviours linked to anxiety, dysregulation, or difficulties with trust and attachment. A calm, patient, and understanding approach is essential.
The RoleAs a Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant, you will:* Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups* Help manage behaviour positively using de-escalation strategies* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils* Support access to learning across a broad, adapted curriculum* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff
