This could be the role for you.

About the Business

We're working with a leading food manufacturing business in North Wales, supplying high-quality products to major retailers and foodservice customers nationwide. With significant growth and ongoing investment in people and technology, this is a fantastic time to join their engineering team.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be at the heart of keeping the factory running smoothly. You'll carry out a mix of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs, making sure production lines stay reliable and downtime is kept to a minimum.

This is a fast-paced, varied role where no two days are the same — a perfect opportunity if you enjoy problem-solving and working with cutting-edge machinery.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out preventative maintenance on food production equipment

*

Respond quickly to breakdowns and get machinery back online

*

Diagnose mechanical/electrical faults and put long-term fixes in place

*

Work closely with production teams to support output targets

*

Keep clear maintenance records and suggest improvements

*

Always work with safety, quality, and compliance in mind

About You

We're open to backgrounds — whether you're an experienced Maintenance or Technician Engineer in food/FMCG, or you've built your skills in another sector (automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, military, etc.) and want to move into food production.

Ideally, you'll have:

*

Engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND or similar)

*

Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills

*

Experience with conveyors, packaging kit, or automated systems (advantageous, not essential)

*

A proactive, problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn

What's in it for You

*

Salary up to £45,000 (depending on experience)

*

Company pension scheme

*

Training and development opportunities to grow your skills

*

Supportive, team-focused environment

*

Clear career progression in a growing sector — food is one of the UK's most secure industries
