About the Project

You will oversee the launch phase of a brand-new adult / young adult residential care home, guiding it through commissioning, staffing, regulatory registration, and operational setup. This is a short-term, high-impact role for someone experienced in care home openings.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the commissioning and launch of the home from construction wrapping up through to opening and initial operation stages (2-3 months)

* Oversee CQC registration and ensure all statutory and organisational compliance measures are in place

* Recruit, onboard, and induct care, support, and administrative staff in phases to build a cohesive team Find a Job

* Establish care standards, policies, and procedures aligned with person-centred practices and regulatory quality frameworks

* Develop and implement a local marketing and occupancy strategy to secure early referrals and residents

* Manage initial operating budget, cost control and performance measures to support financial viability

* Engage with local stakeholders, adult social care teams, healthcare partners, families, and community organisations,to build awareness and reputation.

Ideal Candidate Profile

* Proven experience as a Registered Home Manager (CQC) in residential care settings (ideally adult or young adult)

* Previous experience leading a new home commissioning is highly desirable

* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent) or relevant professional qualifications

* Strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, policies, and quality assurance frameworks

* Excellent leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop early-stage teams

* Financially literate, capable of managing budgets during setup phase

* Confident communicator, skilled at engaging local referrals, stakeholders and promoting the home

* Based in Lancashire region or willing to commute to Burnley
