About the opportunity
A prestigious residential development in Haringey is seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join their on site team. This hands-on position involves ensuring the property maintains its exceptional standards through both planned and reactive maintenance tasks across the site.

Key responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance including repairs, painting, decorating, basic plumbing, electrical work and carpentry
- Conduct and document regular safety checks including fire alarm testing, emergency lighting and smoke ventilation systems
- Collaborate with third-party contractors, reviewing risk assessments and issuing work permits
- Assist with communal area upkeep including bin management, refuse chute cleaning and pressure washing
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring proper usage and secure storage
- Complete minor internal and external repairs to communal areas and building infrastructure
- Accurately record maintenance tasks and risk assessments using internal systems
Requirements
- Proficiency in common maintenance disciplines (plumbing, electrical, carpentry and decorative work)
- Solid knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and experience with risk assessments
- Familiarity with building systems and maintenance protocols
- Self-motivated with ability to prioritise tasks and work with minimal supervision
- Writes and speaks with ease to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues
- Confidence using basic IT systems (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Proactive approach with dedication to quality and efficiency
