Tax Manager

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage and review complex tax returns and provide tax advisory services.
• Address tax technical queries from other departments and manage tax-related issues.
• Develop and enhance business relationships, identifying new business opportunities.
• Oversee a personal client portfolio, ensuring effective communication and relationship management.
• Mentor and train staff, guiding their professional development.
• Engage in continuous learning through monthly reviews and training sessions to keep skills sharp and current.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years' experience in a tax management role.
• CTA qualification preferred; QBE considered.
• Strong technical foundation in tax, capable of applying knowledge to practical client solutions.
• Experience with a range of tax regulations and reliefs, including R&D, inheritance tax, capital allowances, VAT, and more.
• Proficient in CCH and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
