Overview
We are supporting a well-established, reputable law firm seeking a Residential Conveyancer to join their growing property department. This is a full-time, office-based position offering up to £40,000, ideal for an experienced conveyancer who can confidently manage their own caseload and deliver a high standard of client care.

Key Responsibilities
- Caseload Management
- Manage a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion.
- Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and new build matters.
- Draft, review and prepare all necessary legal documentation throughout each stage of the transaction.
- Conduct title checks, raise enquiries, and prepare reports on title.
- Client Care & Communication
- Provide clear, timely and professional updates to clients throughout their matters.
- Build strong relationships with clients, estate agents, mortgage advisers, and other stakeholders.
- Deliver an exceptional standard of service, maintaining the firm's reputation for quality and reliability.
- Compliance & Due Diligence
- Ensure all AML, ID checks and onboarding processes are fully compliant.
- Manage risk effectively and adhere to all regulatory, legislative and internal compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate and orderly file management in line with firm procedures.
- Transaction Coordination
- Liaise with solicitors, lenders, estate agents and other third parties to progress files efficiently.
- Manage exchange and completion processes, including preparing completion statements and ensuring funds are handled correctly.
- Deal with post-completion matters including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications.
Person Specification
- Previous experience as a Residential Conveyancer handling a full caseload independently.
- Strong Technical understanding of residential property law and conveyancing procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, client-focused approach.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
- Confident IT skills and familiarity with case management systems.
- Ability to work full-time and be fully based in the office.
Desirable:
- Experience with local property markets.
- Qualification such as CLC, CILEx or similar (not essential).
- Ability to handle more complex matters such as leasehold, new builds or unregistered titles.
