SEND Teaching Assistant Vacancy - Worksop
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
Academics (a reputable Education Agency) are seeking a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive learning community to support SEND pupils in mainstream settings local to Worksop, Nottinghamshire. This post is a temporary, part-time post which is term-time only and is due to commence ASAP.
As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with diverse learning needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
Working closely with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Providing one-on-one support to students with SEND
Assisting in the development and adaptation of learning materials
Supporting students in building social and emotional skills
Collaborating with other professionals, including therapists and specialists
Monitoring and recording student progress.
Supporting primary schools in the Worksop area
To excel in this SEND Teaching Assistant role, we require:
- A relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs or Supporting Teaching and Learning
- Experience working as a teaching assistant, particularly with students with SEND
- Hold or be willing to process an Enhanced DBS Certificate
- Adaptability and flexibility in responding to the diverse needs of learners
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to easily commute across Worksop
