Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:

Producing new electrical designs / solutions and new control philosophies from customer supplied documentation, based on conventional logic (relay, timer) and PLC / HMI systems hardware and software

Build control panels to design, fault finding and installation of new and existing equipment

Creation of electrical one line, schematics and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD

Creating 3D CAD models, assemblies and producing 2D drawings using PTC Creo and AutoCAD

Maintaining existing product lines - assisting in updating and improving drawings and models using official EAN procedures

Creating, developing and maintaining product instruction and operating manuals along with other product literature

Supporting and assisting in producing contract documentation and working closely with the engineering team to deliver large projects, able to travel to customers for onsite meetings/installation and commissioning

Support in developing quality and work procedures for the workshop and factory

Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:

Minimum HND/HNC in electrical engineering or at degree level

Prior experience designing control panels and systems using conventional logic and PLC's

Knowledge of current wiring regulations and standards

High level of competence using 2D CAD package such as AutoCAD

Basic Knowledge of 3D CAD software such as PTC Creo

Located in Derbyshire, this role would be commutable from Sheffield, Chesterfield, Bakewell, Derby, Nottingham and surrounding areas.
