Salary: £42,000 - £50,000 per annum

Gifford and Partners have been appointed to recruit a Management Accountant to join a profitable, growing and tangibly interesting manufacturing business in Leeds. Well-established and Stooped in history, the business is going driving change through new systems, automation whilst dominating its market field. Reporting directly to an experienced and qualified FInancial Controller , this is a hands-on role that requires someone willing to roll up their sleeves and get into the detail of the numbers and monthly reporting.

As Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the FC with all aspects of the monthend production, budgeting and forecasting whilst helping to mentor and support others in the finance team. This varied position will suit a proactive, commercially aware professional who thrives in a dynamic SME environment undergoing growth and change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the month-end management accounts process, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and putting commnetry onto the numbers
  • Overseeing the transactional team with an introduction to management of reporting staff.
  • Producing monthly sales and margin reports and undertaking ad-hoc reporting tasks.
  • Contribute to the implimentation of a new accounting system

Experience and background:

  • Proven experience in a similar Management Accounting role wnting to move up to a senior MA / Manager position.
  • Ideally you will have similar SME exposure working in a busy finance team-ideally within a manufacturing/fmcg environment.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
  • Enthusiastic, committed, and proactive approach, with the ability to work both independently, and as part of a team.
