Reed Education are delighted to be supporting an innovative and high-achieving secondary school in Northampton as they look to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join their well-resourced DT faculty from September.

The Role

The successful DT Teacher will:

• Teach DT across KS3–KS4 (specialism welcomed: Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics, etc.)
• Deliver creative and practical lessons that inspire curiosity, problem-solving, and hands-on learning
• Contribute to curriculum development within a modern and forward-thinking department
• Support students of varying abilities to achieve strong outcomes
• Work collaboratively with a supportive team of DT and Engineering specialists

This role is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong subject knowledge across DT or a specific DT discipline
• Ability to deliver creative, safe, and engaging practical lessons
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• QTS or relevant teaching qualification desirable, but not essential
• Applications welcomed from experienced teachers, ECTs, and FE/industry professionals transitioning into schools
