Electronics Engineer - High-Speed PCB Design | Devon, UK

Are you an ambitious electronics engineer with a passion for complex hardware design? We're working with a cutting-edge technology company based in Devon that's driving innovation in cybersecurity and telecoms infrastructure — and they're looking to grow their hardware team.
The Role You'll be working on the design and development of advanced electronic systems used in high-performance, mission-critical environments. The role will focus on schematic capture and layout for high-density, multi-layer PCBs with high-speed I/O interfaces. This is a hands-on engineering position offering exposure to the full product lifecycle, from concept through to manufacturing and testing.
What You'll Be Doing
Designing complex multi-layer PCBs with high-speed signals (e.g., SERDES, DDR, PCIe)
Schematic capture and component selection
Collaborating closely with mechanical, software, and FPGA teams
Supporting board bring-up, validation, and test procedures
Taking designs from concept to production in a fast-paced environmentWhat We're Looking For
Degree in Electronic Engineering (or similar)
Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, Mentor)
Strong understanding of signal integrity, impedance control, and PCB design rules
Exposure to high-speed digital design and multi-gigabit interfaces
A proactive mindset and strong problem-solving skills
