Senior Finance Officer | Bolton | Full time | Permanent | Up to £44,000 DOE

Monday to Friday 37 hours per week (8am to 5pm Mon – Thu, 8am to 12noon Fri)

We are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Finance Officer to join our manufacturing client based in the Bolton area.

You will be…

• Overseeing the purchase ledger and sales ledger processes
• Providing working capital management and cashflow forecasts
• Controlling weekly supplier and expense payment runs in line with the cashflow forecast
• Conducting credit control, reducing aged debt
• Preparing and posting monthly accruals, prepayments, and other accounting entries
• Administering all month-end Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Processing payroll, including salaries and deductions, communicating closely with the payroll provider
• Maintaining precise payroll records and ensuring data confidentiality
• Providing supervision to members of the finance team
• Supporting the year-end audit process
• Playing an active role in delivering key Finance projects

You will have…

• Relevant qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA, part-qualified, or qualified by experience)
• Experience with Sage50 and Progress Plus is highly desirable
• Experience working in a manufacturing business is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills across all levels of internal and external business
• Proficient in written, verbal, and IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Proactive and able to work independently, setting and monitoring workloads and targets
