Equifind is partnering with a well-established investment management business in Glasgow to appoint a Financial Accountant. This is an exciting chance to join a purpose-driven organisation that invests in projects making a real difference to society, the economy, and the environment.
This is a 14-month contract role will give you exposure to a broad portfolio of entities and the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders, while also supporting the development of junior team members.
What you’ll be doing
- Take responsibility for monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, reviewing management accounts, trial balances, and financial statements prepared by external providers.
- Produce statutory accounts, group consolidations, VAT returns, and manage intercompany reconciliations.
- Contribute insightful analysis of financial performance, highlighting key drivers and variances.
- Partner with colleagues across operations, data, and technical functions to deliver meaningful commentary.
- Use tools such as Power BI to create clear and useful management reporting.
- Strengthen internal controls and contribute to finance transformation projects, including system and process improvements.
- Coach and guide junior colleagues to support their growth.
About you
- Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a strong technical grounding.
- Background in investment management or asset management is advantageous, but not essential.
- Skilled in Excel, with experience in Power BI and lender/debt reporting seen as a bonus.
- Strong communicator who can explain financial insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Proactive, organised, and confident managing deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
