Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs in a primary school in the Rugby area. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who thrives on building trust, providing stability, and helping children access learning on their terms.

Key Responsibilities

Work one-to-one with a child who requires additional support to access the curriculum

Assist with academic tasks, emotional regulation, and behaviour management

*

Encourage independence and confidence in learning through a personalised approach

*

Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to track progress and adapt strategies

*

Help foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment

Required Experience

*

Experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting

*

Strong understanding of inclusive education and individual learning needs

*

Excellent communication skills and a calm, empathetic approach

*

Ability to work collaboratively with staff and families to provide consistent support
