Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We are currently recruiting for Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join a growing engineering team within a busy FMCG packaging and distribution environment.

The business is expanding and investing in its engineering function, offering excellent long-term progression opportunities within a well-structured maintenance team.

Role Overview

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of automated production and packaging equipment to ensure maximum plant availability and performance.

While an electrical bias is preferred, candidates with a strong mechanical background will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across site machinery

Respond to reactive breakdowns to minimise production downtime

Maintain and repair automated bagging, conveying, and packaging equipment

Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives

Work collaboratively with production teams to maintain operational efficiency

Experience & Qualifications

Relevant engineering qualifications (Mechanical or Electrical)

Previous experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment

Experience working with automated production machinery

Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Team Structure

Work alongside a team of 5 engineers

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £46,350

Shift Pattern: 3-Shift Rotation

Hours: 41.5 per week

Holidays: 25 days + Bank Holidays

Pension: 9% employer contribution / 5% employee contribution
