Air Import Freight Forwarder

Location: Feltham
Salary: Up to £35,000

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established freight forwarding company specialising in luxury and high-value air cargo. With a strong reputation for precision, discretion, and service excellence, they are now looking to expand their UK-based team with an experienced Air Import Freight Forwarder.

The Role:

As an Air Import Freight Forwarder, you will be responsible for managing the full import process, from flight arrival through to final delivery. This role demands attention to detail, operational control, and a strong understanding of UK customs compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee end-to-end air import operations

Prepare and submit all relevant customs and import documentation

Liaise with HMRC, carriers, hauliers, overseas agents, and VIP clients

Coordinate deliveries, ensuring timely and secure movement of goods

Handle shipments involving dangerous goods in compliance with safety and regulatory standards

Monitor shipments and proactively update customers throughout the process

Build and maintain strong working relationships across internal and external stakeholders

Ideal Candidate:

Minimum 3 years' experience in air import freight forwarding

In-depth knowledge of UK import customs procedures and regulations

Experience working with high-value or time-sensitive cargo is a strong advantage

Excellent organisational and communication skills

Calm under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines

Familiarity with customs or freight systems such as CargoWise or ASM is desirable

Proactive, detail-focused, and customer-oriented approach
