Ward Manager – Palliative Care | Up to £49,500 | 37.5 Hours per week

As a Ward Nurse Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of a well-established hospice ward. You will ensure safe, effective, and person-centred care delivery, while supporting the professional development of the team and upholding the highest clinical standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active NMC registration
- Demonstrable experience in palliative care or hospice settings
- Experience managing a clinical team, preferably within an inpatient or ward environment
- Strong clinical leadership and decision-making skills
- Palliative care qualification or willingness to complete a recognised course
- Commitment to delivering person-centred care with dignity and respect

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the clinical team across the hospice ward
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, compassionate palliative and end-of-life care
- Mentor, coach, and support nursing staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning
- Oversee patient care planning, risk management and safe staffing levels
- Contribute to quality assurance and service development initiatives
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners
