Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Commissioning team on a 6 month rolling contract based in UK Wide.

Role Summary

We are currently supporting a major UK transmission delivery programme and am looking to engage experienced National Grid Commissioning Engineers and Commissioning Technicians for upcoming substation works.

What we're looking for:

* Proven commissioning experience on UK transmission substations

* Voltage levels 132kV / 275kV / 400kV

* Strong Protection & Control and/or primary commissioning capability

* Experience on AIS and/or GIS substations

* Comfortable working to National Grid standards and procedures

* Ability to work safely in live or outage-controlled environments

Ideal background:

* National Grid, SSE Transmission, Scottish Power Transmission, or equivalent

* Previous work on major grid sites, wind farm grid connections, or large infrastructure projects

* Contractors or consultants with solid UK transmission delivery history

* Grid experience is essential

* This role is not suitable for DNO-only or LV/MV backgrounds.
