About the Role
Reed Education is proud to be recruiting for a welcoming and community-focused primary school in Bexley. We are seeking a part-time Admin Assistant to join the school’s dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy, rewarding environment and wants to make a real difference in the lives of children and families.
The Admin Assistant will provide a strong front-of-house reception service, both face-to-face and digitally, while supporting the wider admin team with secretarial and clerical tasks.
Key Responsibilities
As an Admin Assistant, you will:
- Deliver excellent customer service in person, via telephone, email, and other digital platforms.
- Act as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and staff, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience.
- Support the SENCo with SEND administration, including managing paperwork, coordinating meetings, and maintaining accurate records.
- Keep information systems up to date, including the school website, social media, newsletters, and digital displays.
- Handle enquiries from parents and external agencies promptly and accurately.
- Maintain effective office procedures and ensure smooth communication flow between staff, parents, and pupils.
- Input data into the school MIS and produce reports for the senior leadership team.
- Manage attendance tasks, including checking registers, contacting parents, and updating records.
- Provide first aid and maintain appropriate records.
- Assist with after-school club administration and PTA support.
- Sort incoming and outgoing post and emails daily.
- Undertake general administrative tasks such as minute-taking, typing correspondence, and covering for absent admin staff.
