We are recruiting an experienced TIG Welder for contract work on a nuclear site near Preston.
This role requires proven experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel pipework in highly regulated environments, such as nuclear, oil & gas, petrochemical, or power generation.
This is a full-time, site-based role, so local candidates are preferred.

Location: Preston area
Start: ASAP (subject to BPSS / SC clearance - typically 1-2 weeks)
Duration: 6-month initial contract, likely extension
Future work available in Chester with the same client
Hours: 39 per week
Mon-Thurs 8.5 hrs
Fri 5 hrs
Overtime: Possible but not guaranteed
Rate: £27.00 per hour
Pay: CIS or Umbrella PAYE

Requirements

Time-served Welder / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Proven TIG welding experience on carbon & stainless steel pipe
Experience working to WPS / weld procedures
Previous work in nuclear / oil & gas / heavy industrial environments
Ability to pass site weld tests if required
CCNSG / Safety Passport preferred
Must be eligible for BPSS and SC clearance
Candidates must be comfortable working within a highly regulated nuclear environment
