Time-Served CNC Turner - North Lanarkshire

First Achieve Engineering are working on behalf of an established engineering firm in North Lanarkshire to recruit a Time-Served Turner for their precision machine shop.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist looking for a stable, long-term role within a supportive and well-equipped engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate an XYZ RLX 555 CNC Lathe (manual and CNC control - training provided for XYZ programming if required)
Manufacture components to fine tolerances in various materials including steels, brass, bronze, graphite, pyrophyllite, and plastics
Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings
Collaborate with the wider team to problem-solve and develop bespoke solutions
Perform self-inspection of machined parts to ensure quality and accuracy
Manage tooling and consumable stock, including reordering as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised work environment
Work independently and proactively, with a strong sense of responsibility

Candidate Requirements:

Time-served in Turning/Machining (essential)
Able to work with minimal supervision
Competent in reading engineering drawings and measuring components
Positive attitude, reliable, and a strong team player
Experience with XYZ lathes or CNC programming is beneficial - training available if not

What's on Offer:

Straight Dayshift Mon-Fri (Mon-Thurs 07:30 - 16:15/Fri 07:30 - 12:30)
Quarterly Bonus/Enhanced Pension (after successful completion of probation period)
