Hypermill 5-Axis CNC Programmer

This role is designed for a CNC programmer who thrives in a technically demanding, aerospace-grade environment. The position focuses on 5-axis simultaneous machining using Hypermill CAM software, with direct involvement in programming, proving out, and optimising complex components to tight tolerances.

Core Responsibilities
Develop and refine 5-axis simultaneous CNC programs using Hypermill
Prove out and validate programs directly on the machine
Work with Fanuc, Hurco, and Mazak control systems
Interpret complex engineering drawings and setup sheets
Collaborate with machinists and engineers to ensure production efficiency
Maintain compliance with aerospace machining standards and tolerancesTechnical Environment

The workshop is equipped with modern CNC machinery and supports a high-mix, low-volume production model. The role requires hands-on involvement in both programming and shop floor validation, with a strong emphasis on quality, repeatability, and process optimisation.

Candidate Profile

You'll need proven experience in Hypermill 5-axis programming and a confident understanding of Fanuc, Hurco, and Mazak controls. The ability to troubleshoot and refine programs on the machine is essential. Familiarity with aerospace machining standards is expected, along with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
