ROLE - Mechanical Design Engineer
 
SALARY - £35,000 - £45,000, dependent on experience
 
TYPE - Permanent
 
LOCATION - Worcester
 
My client specialises in Automation in the Manufacturing sector. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in the Worcester area on a permanent basis.
 
The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified or similar in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Design or similar
At least 3 years' experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer in a manufacturing environment
Proficient with using 3D CAD - SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor or similar
Knowledge of automated systems, conveyors, SPM etc.
Able to manage projects and work to deadlines and budgets
Experienced working to customer specifications and altering designs based on requirements
Able to maintain technical documentation and BOM entry
Knowledge of different materials such as sheet metal fabrication
Innovative, accurate and passionate about design
Be technically minded with a head for problem solving
Excellent leadership and organisational skills
Able to work well individually as well as part of a team 
 
The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:

Being responsible for the Design and Development of various automation solutions
Using Inventor 3D CAD software for design on a day-to-day basis
Developing ideas from concept to production
Liaising with clients and developing solutions for design specifications
Collaborating with different departments to ensure the smooth delivery of projects
Maintaining technical drawings and documentation
Providing technical guidance and support
Supporting product Testing, Verification & Validation
