CNC Brake Press / Punch Press Operatives

We are recruiting experienced CNC Brake Press / Punch Press Operatives to join a busy sheet metal fabrication team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with CNC machinery and automated fabrication equipment, producing high-quality components in a fast-paced environment.
Shifts Available (39 hours per week):
Day Shift: Monday - Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm, Friday 7:30am-12:30pm
Rotating Early/Late: 6:00am-2:15pm / 2:15pm-10:30pm (15% premium)
Continental Days: 4 on / 4 off, 7:00am-7:00pm (20% premium)
Key Responsibilities:
* Operating and setting up CNC machinery, press brakes, punch machines, panel benders, and routers
* Producing sheet metal components to exact specifications and quality standards
* Loading and handling sheet steel, aluminium, and other materials
* Carrying out quality checks, first-offs, and final inspections
* Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work area in line with 6S standards
* Reporting equipment faults and supporting smooth production flow
* Assisting and training other team members when required
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year of experience in sheet metal fabrication or CNC operations
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Knowledge of Health & Safety, Quality, and build standards
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet production targets
* IT literate and proactive in approach
Desirable:
* Experience operating Trumpf, Salvagnini, Safan, or Emergi machinery
* Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing tools (8D, A3, 5Y, Fishbone)
* Working knowledge of SAP
Pay Rates:
£13.19 - £16.50 per hour depending on experience and shift pattern
