Java Solution Architect (DV CLEARED) - Contract Type: Contractor
- Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire - fully on site
- Rate: £600 per day inside IR35
- Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
- Contract duration: 6 months+
- Mandatory: DV Clearance active (will not consider non-cleared professionals)
We are seeking a Java Solution Architect to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role requires a proactive and adaptable individual who can re-prioritise tasks based on customer needs. You will be responsible for designing, creating, testing, and documenting new and amended Java programs in line with agreed standards.
Day-to-day of the role: - Work closely with other Java developers and technical subject matter experts as part of a SAFE Agile team.
- Design and develop high-quality Java solutions for both an established system and a new system currently under development.
- Provide application maintenance and support services, either directly to users of the applications or to service delivery functions.
- Participate in SAFE Agile events such as retrospectives, reviews, and planning.
- Work under the direction of the lead Java Developer, with minimal supervision, to produce high-quality Java solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Minimum of 3 years of Java development experience within an enterprise environment.
- Proficient in using API interfaces with Java including REST.
- Experienced with Windows platforms.
- Proficient in source control using GIT.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps platform.
