Principal React Engineer
Hybrid NI based (2-3 days onsite in either their Belfast or Derry offices)
Up to £100,000 salary

We're working with a forward thinking, award winning software first organisation that builds modern cloud platforms used by major brands across food, retail and supply chain. Their engineering function continues to scale, and they are now seeking a Principal React Engineer to take a leading role in shaping the front end direction of their flagship platform.

You'll work within a modern Azure based environment alongside senior engineers, architects and product leaders. The frontend is built with the latest versions of React and TypeScript, while the backend is powered by a modern .NET ecosystem. This role offers the opportunity to lead UI architecture, drive best practices and influence major product decisions in a company that genuinely values engineering excellence.

Key responsibilities
Define and lead frontend architecture across React and TypeScript.
Drive engineering standards, component libraries, performance and accessibility.
Collaborate with architects on platform design, APIs and integration patterns.
Work closely with backend teams using modern .NET within Azure.
Mentor engineers and guide technical growth within the frontend team.
Influence product direction and contribute to solving complex UI challenges.

Required experience
Extensive React and TypeScript experience at senior or principal level.
Background designing scalable frontend architectures.
Strong understanding of modern state management and component design.
Experience working with cloud platforms, ideally Azure.
Exposure to backend ecosystems such as .NET is highly beneficial.
Strong communicator who enjoys collaboration and technical leadership.
