Salary: £15.00 - £16.50/hour

Are you an assertive School Finance or Business Manager looking for a new challenge? Do you have SIMS and FMS experience? Are you a qualified financial professional able to offer a significant strategic contribution to a school in transition? If you answered yes to these questions then please get in touch! This role is full-time (not term-time) and is a temporary to permanent position for the right person.

We ask that you have:

- A qualification in Business Administration or Financial Management, up to degree level or equivalent

- SIMS / FMS experience gained from working in a school

- The ability to provide vision and advice to the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team, Governors and the rest of the Finance and Administration Team

- Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing

- Proven effective leadership skills

- The ability to work with high levels of tact, confidentiality and discretion.

- Sound financial management of school resources and budgets, including preparation of school's annual accounts

- Management of school Finance Team, and delegation of relevant activities

- Liaison with DfE, EFA, HMRC, auditors and other external parties

- Responsibility for funding and all financial / statutory returns

- Reviewing and improving school financial systems and internal controls, as well as negotiating school key contracts.

What Next?
