Based in Arundel, they are a leading supplier to the human and pet funeral sector and provide creative and memorable products and keepsakes for vet groups, funeral directors, crematoria and families, they operate on a global scale.

To assist in the continues growth of the business they are now seeking an energetic Marketing Manager to lead the small but well established marketing team, this will be a new role within the business and would suit an all-round marketing professional who is experienced, resourceful, passionate and willing to learn.

Key Accountabilities for the Marketing Manager

* Development of annual sales and marketing plan in conjunction with the Managing Director and Sales Manager

* Management of all marketing operations in accordance with the agreed plan

* Day-to-day management of two internal marketing team members and external agencies (currently print, PR and web)

* Production of monthly strategic marketing report to be discussed during monthly board meeting.

* Content creation and development of the company's marketing messages and brand story

* Development and execution of the company's email marketing strategy

* Management of the company's website portfolio, determining future strategy and developing engaging content

* Management of the company's social media, ensuring great content and maximising engagement opportunities

* Supporting the team with the management of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (Microsoft Business Central)

* Production of marketing materials, including print material and other digital marketing collateral

* Planning and delivery of events and exhibitions, where relevant

Person Specification for the Marketing Manager

The successful candidate will:

* Be creative with a passion for marketing

* Have a solid understanding of the fundamental principles of marketing with previous “hands on” experience in a marketing role

* Have strong communication skills (written and verbal) with strong grammar and story-telling ability

* Be fully computer literate with an enthusiasm for social media

* Have experience of using marketing tools such as Canva and social media scheduling platforms; knowledge of email marketing systems is desirable e.g. Hubspot

* Have experience of website content management systems, notably WordPress

* Be a fast learner with a desire and willingness to learn

* Demonstrate attention to detail to ensure high accuracy of communications

* Be intuitive and results driven

* Be willing and able to challenge

Above all, we need someone to think on their feet, be proactive and take control of this key department in our business.

Qualifications & Experience

* Marketing qualification (degree, CIM or equivalent) highly desirable

* At least five years' experience of a varied marketing role, including digital and social media skills

* Some experience of managing or co-ordinating a team
