Gifford and Partners are working on a superb opportunity for a proactive and commercially minded Tax Manager, driving and influencing the Indirect Tax and VAT strategy. This is a role offering real ownership, visibility and variety within a high-performing, fast-paced finance environment.

This newly created position is the result of ongoing growth and increased complexity across multiple legal entities and cross-border trading arrangements. It's the perfect next step for a tax professional looking to step into a broad and influential role with plenty of scope to make a difference.

Overview:

  • Join a dynamic, forward-thinking organisation with significant growth and an evolving tax landscape
  • Enjoy ownership and autonomy, with the backing of a supportive executive finance leadership team.

  • Hybrid working in a collaborative, fast-paced business with a positive culture

Key responsibilities:

  • Take the lead on all Indirect Tax and VAT matters across multiple entities and jurisdictions
  • Manage the preparation and submission of UK and international VAT returns
  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with VAT legislation, including changes to rules, rates and digital reporting requirements
  • Provide clear, commercially focused tax advice to senior stakeholders across the business

  • Support ad hoc project work, including systems, process improvements and automation initiatives
  • Develop and document internal VAT procedures and maintain strong control frameworks

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Tax, Finance or Accounting professional (CTA / ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong, practical experience of UK Indirect Tax and VAT (experience of EU/ROW is advantageous but not essential)
  • A self-starter who enjoys both the technical and commercial side of tax
  • Confident in communicating with senior leaders, with a natural problem-solving approach
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, multi-entity business with evolving tax requirements

This is a fantastic opportunity to own and shape the Indirect Tax agenda in a growing, agile environment. If you're looking for influence, variety, and the chance to add real value, we'd love to hear from you and are shortlisting immediately - please get in touch.
