Switchgear Site Technician

£33,000 - £35,000 per annum + Overtime

Urgent requirement for experienced Switchgear Technician to work on site installing, repairing and maintaining electrical Switchgear for our customers, you will join an existing electrical engineering team and be required to be out on site but also support in the workshop as and when required. This hands-on role involves performing switchgear maintenance and, when required, assisting with switchgear assembly either in the factory or on-site alongside AC switchgear technicians.

Key Responsibilities

Site Work
* Perform on-site servicing, preventative maintenance, repairs, and testing of DC and AC switchgear.
* Identify and help resolve potential risks associated with site work projects.
* Prepare detailed written service reports and technical recommendations.

Manufacturing and Assembly
* Interpret wiring schematics and general arrangement drawings.
* Lay out, assemble, and wire electrical panels.
* Conduct preparation of metalwork, cabling, control wiring, and copper busbar work

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in switchgear or electrical assembly.
Previous experience in a similar electrical or engineering role.
Strong ability to interpret wiring schematics and engineering drawings.
Full, clean UK driving licence.
