Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 per annum

Job Purpose:

To manage and service a portfolio of large commercial and corporate insurance clients, ensuring the highest level of service delivery. You will act as the main point of contact for day-to-day client servicing, working closely with Account Executives, insurers, and internal stakeholders to manage renewals, mid-term adjustments, and queries effectively and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of corporate clients across various industries, typically with premiums exceeding £50k GWP.
  • Handle all aspects of client servicing including renewals, MTAs, claims liaison, and documentation.
  • Prepare and negotiate renewal terms with insurers and present recommendations to clients.
  • Build strong relationships with key insurer partners to secure favourable terms.
  • Support Account Executives with client meetings and strategic planning.
  • Ensure all client files and documentation are compliant with FCA regulations and internal procedures.
  • Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities to enhance client value.
  • Act as a point of referral and technical support for more junior handlers (if applicable).
  • Use broking systems (e.g., Acturis) to maintain accurate and timely records.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience as an Account Handler within a commercial or corporate broking environment.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, including Property, Liability, Fleet, and Professional Indemnity.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage a busy workload.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Good understanding of FCA compliance and TCF principles.
  • Experience using insurance software platforms (e.g., Acturis, Open GI, SSP).
  • Cert CII qualified or working towards (Dip CII preferred).
