The Best Connection Employment Group are currently seeking Ad-Hoc HGV Class 1 Drivers for one of our key clients in Basingstoke. Regular Weekend cover along with other shifts ad-hoc shifts during the week if required.

Rate of Pay:

£18.00 per hour (minimum of 8.5 hours, Monday to Sunday)

Hours of Work:

ADHOC work

Start between 5am-7am until finish

Responsibilities of the HGV Class 1 Driver:

• Operate a Class 1 vehicle from Basingstoke to various locations
• Load and unload vehicle using roll cages
• Perform complete pre and post operation inspection of the vehicle (tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls)
• Report any safety issues on standard reports
• Adhere to assigned delivery schedule and follow all job directives precisely
• Interact with dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all tasks are carried out in a timely and professional manner
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures

Requirements of the HGV Class 1 Driver:

• Ability to successfully pass a driving assessment
• Category C+E Licence
• CPC
• Digi Tacho

The successful candidate will possess a current and valid Category C+E Licence, Digi Tacho and CPC card.
