Are you a dedicated recruitment professional ready to make a positive impact in the public sector? Our client is seeking a talented Recruitment Specialist to join their dynamic team! With a focus on delivering high-quality, customer-focused resourcing services, this is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the recruitment of social workers and supporting roles.

Position: Recruitment Specialist
Contract Type: Permanent
Hourly Rate: £21.33 PAYE or £27.81 Umbrella
Working Pattern: Full-Time (Hybrid - 3 days in the office)

What You'll Do:

As the first point of contact for service requests and inquiries, you will:

Provide exceptional customer service and manage the recruitment inbox.
Be the subject matter expert on TalentLink and other recruitment systems.
Collaborate with the Talent and Resourcing Advisor to identify improvement areas and implement solutions.
Assist hiring managers in crafting engaging job adverts that reflect the Council's brand and attract top talent.
Establish and maintain relationships with external candidate providers and specialist agencies.
Guide hiring managers on job descriptions to ensure clarity and relevance.
Own respective vacancies, ensuring timely completion of recruitment activities.

Your Responsibilities Include:

Managing the onboarding process for agency workers and processing Barring Service (DBS) applications.
Maintaining accurate management information reports and recruitment trackers.
Updating Oracle and other systems with new starter information and workforce data.
Conducting pre-employment checks and saving relevant documents.
Contributing to continuous service improvement through participation and self-development.

Strong customer service skills and a passion for recruitment process management.
Expertise in TalentLink and Oracle systems.
Knowledge of social work practises and compliance with equalities and diversity.
Excellent data management and project management skills.
A proactive approach to stakeholder engagement and onboarding processes.
Commitment to health and safety compliance and self-development.
