💰 £28,000 - £30,000  based on experience | ⏰ Full-time 40 hours per week |

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Deputy Manager to join a brand new 4-bed children's home in Hoddesdon (EN11). This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in leading and managing a dedicated team that provides high-quality care to children and young people.
The children's home is registered to provide support for children and young people who have emotional, complex, social, and behavioural needs.
The ethos of the children's homes is to provide safety and stability to children in a time of great difficulty and change, enabling them to continue with everyday life even though they may be facing tough challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home and overseeing a team of staff
Lead by example, providing guidance and support to the team to ensure excellent care for children and young people
Ensure that children's care plans are implemented effectively and continuously monitored
Develop and mentor staff to ensure high standards of practice, providing training and support where needed
Build strong, supportive relationships with children, helping them develop life skills and resilience
Monitor children's behaviours, progress, and well-being and ensure timely reporting
Ensure the home is compliant with safeguarding and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate records
Liaise with social workers, families, and other professionals to provide holistic supportCandidate Requirements:

Previous experience in a residential children's home is essential
NVQ Level 4 in Leadership and Management for Care Services (or equivalent qualification) is required
Strong leadership, mentoring, and management skills
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Commitment to supporting children with emotional, social, and behavioural needs
