We’re seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join a respected Financial Planning business in Stockport. This full-time, permanent job offers hybrid working (50% home / 50% office), flexible hours, study support and a strong benefits package. You’ll provide technical support to advisers, complete research and prepare suitability reports. This is an excellent opportunity for a Paraplanner or Senior Paraplanner looking for long-term career development within a supportive, growing firm.

As a Paraplanner, you will support advisers by delivering accurate technical research and high-quality written reports. You’ll analyse pensions and investments, prepare suitability letters, review existing plans, and design financial planning solutions aligned to client objectives and risk. You’ll ensure information is complete, compliant and clearly documented, while maintaining strong communication with advisers and the administration team.

You will also help prepare client files, contribute to project work, and keep your technical knowledge up to date through study and training opportunities. This job offers long-term development, making it ideal for someone who enjoys technical financial planning work and wants to progress within a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

• Pension and investment research and analysis
• Preparing suitability reports and client documentation
• Supporting advisers with technical queries
• Designing solutions aligned to client goals and risk
• Ensuring full FCA-compliant file preparation
• Reviewing existing policies and fund portfolios
• Providing guidance to administrators
• Completing project work and staying technically up-to-date

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous Paraplanning experience
• Good knowledge of financial planning and products
• Strong report writing and analytical skills
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Clear communication skills
• Level 4 Diploma (desirable) or studying towards it
• Confident using Microsoft Office and financial planning systems
