Are you a Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning?

A thriving and inclusive secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team from September 2025.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting their academic progress, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.

The Role - Learning Support Assistant

* Provide in-class support for students with a range of abilities and additional needs

* Work 1:1 and with small groups to reinforce learning and promote engagement

* Assist teachers in delivering inclusive lessons and adapting materials when necessary

* Monitor student progress and contribute to individual learning plans

* Promote positive behaviour and encourage student independence

* Support pupils with SEN, EAL, or emotional/social challenges

* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to provide a consistent support network

The Ideal Candidate Will Have - Learning Support Assistant

* Experience supporting students in an educational setting (school, tuition, or youth work)

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* A proactive, empathetic, and patient approach

* Understanding of SEN and differentiated learning strategies is a plus

* A commitment to safeguarding and supporting student wellbeing

* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

* Psychology, education, or social science graduates exploring a career in teaching

* Anyone with a strong interest in supporting student learning and development in a school setting
