Financial Controller

• Location: Flexible with option to WFH one day per week
• Salary: £54,000 - £55,000 FTE (pro-rata)
• Job Type: Part-time

We are seeking a Financial Controller for a reputable organisation within the charity sector. This role is integral to the strategic management and operational finance, ensuring compliance and supporting growth.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage daily financial operations, including accounts receivable and payable, to ensure effective cash flow.
• Oversee budget preparation and financial forecasting, presenting monthly reports to aid strategic decision-making.
• Administer payroll, ensure compliance with pension contributions, and manage financial audits.
• Act as Company Secretary, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide financial guidance at Board meetings and support strategic initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, with charity sector experience advantageous.
• Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, with strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Xero.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and independent problem-solving skills.
