We're pleased to be supporting our client, a well established manufacturer of precision engineered components, recruiting an experienced CNC Sliding Head Setter Operator to join their growing team in Telford. You'll be working with Citizen sliding head lathes, producing high‑quality components for a range of industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities

Setting and operating Citizen sliding head CNC lathes to produce precision components

*

Adjusting tooling offsets, feeds and speeds to maintain quality and efficiency

*

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

*

Carrying out first‑off inspections and in‑process quality checks using micrometers, verniers and gauges

*

Performing routine machine maintenance and ensuring machines run to optimum performance

*

Identifying and resolving machining issues to minimise downtime

*

Working to tight tolerances and maintaining consistent production standards

*

Ensuring all work complies with health & safety and quality procedures
