A well-established and growing property development and planning consultancy is looking to appoint a Town Planner to join their expanding team in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated planning professional to work on a diverse portfolio of residential and mixed-use development projects across the South East.

Working as part of a collaborative and experienced team, you will play a key role in managing planning applications, providing strategic planning advice, and supporting clients through the development process.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and supporting documentation

Provide clear and commercially focused planning advice to clients

Manage planning projects from early feasibility through to determination

Liaise with local planning authorities, consultants, and stakeholders

Undertake site appraisals and planning research

Assist with planning strategies for residential and mixed-use developments

Monitor planning policy and legislative changes

About You

Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline

Working towards or already MRTPI qualified (or equivalent)

Previous experience within a planning consultancy, developer, or local authority

Strong report writing and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

A proactive and commercially minded approach
