REED Accountancy and Finance are working on behalf of a growing team, who support the Financial Management of Care Home Businesses.   • Prepare and manage invoices, VAT returns, payroll and bookkeeping duties
  • Produce trial balances, monthly management accounts, budgets and cash flow forecasts
  • Carry out credit control, prepare payment runs, costings and pricing
  • Prepare and submit year-end accounts and self-assessment tax returns
  • Help configure and improve financial processes and procedures
  • Collaborate on a range of financial operations within the accounts department
  • Take on additional ad-hoc tasks as needed — no two days are the same!  

Requirement:

  • Level 4 AAT UK qualified (or ACCA UK part-qualified/qualified)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar accounting role in the UK
  • Minimum 1 year of payroll experience in the UK Solid grasp of double-entry bookkeeping and financial accounting
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero, SageCloud, Sage50 Accounts and QuickBooks
  • Experience in the domiciliary care sector is highly desirable  

Accounts Assistant Key Skills:

  • Excellent English communication skills — written and spoken
  • Confident and courteous in client interactions
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Outlook and Word Highly organised with brilliant attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, proactive and disciplined with excellent teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage a dynamic workload
