We're Hiring: HR Consultant - Employee Relations Specialist
Location: Taunton (Office-Based)
Hours: Full-Time
Salary: Circa £40,000/Consummate with level of experience

You'll be confident, commercially minded, and comfortable advising SME owners on real-world people issues. You won't hide behind policy or say "computer says no." Instead, you'll provide practical, straight-talking advice that works.

The Role
You'll be the go-to expert for chairing and advising on a wide range of employee relations matters, including:

  • Disciplinary
  • Grievance
  • Redundancy
  • Performance management
  • Absence management
  • Capability


No two days are the same. One minute you'll be guiding a client through a complex ER case; the next you'll be supporting a restructure or helping a business get their HR foundations right.
You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where client expectations are high and where your expertise genuinely makes a difference.

About You

  • CIPD qualified
  • Strong experience handling complex HR/ER matters
  • Solid UK employment law knowledge
  • Experience working across multiple sectors
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise effectively
