Responsibilities

Support the class teacher in adapting lessons to meet the needs of pupils with a variety of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and speech or language difficulties

Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that fosters growth and achievement
Work closely with teachers, families, and external specialists to implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Provide focused one-to-one and small group interventions for students needing additional support
Foster a classroom atmosphere of encouragement, patience, and respect

Requirements

Experience supporting children with SEN in a School, care, or youth work setting
A compassionate, adaptable mindset and commitment to inclusive education
Excellent communication skills and a calm, consistent approach to behaviour
A genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
Two professional references to confirm your suitability and experience
