Warehouse Supervisor
My client is a leading organisation, who specialise in delivering reliable and efficient energy utilities. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their team based in Antrim.
This is a Full-Time Permanent Position.
Working hours: TBC
Salary negotiable (dependent on experience).
Job Role:
You will be responsible for the efficient running of the warehouse, ensuring stock is received, stored, and dispatched accurately and in a timely manner. The role also involves working closely with the Directors to ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintaining necessary risk assessments.
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrable experience in warehouse operations and logistics.
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations within warehouse environments.
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
- IT proficient with the use of Microsoft Office – to include Word, Excel and Outlook) as well as warehouse management environments.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload while adhering to deadlines.
- Strong organisational skills and time management.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining premises & yard.
- Restocking picking face from bulk storage.
- Maintaining accurate trailer maps, pallet labelling, and stock locations.
- Conducting physical stock counts as requested by the Manager.
- Preparing for and advising on stock arrivals (especially new products or large volumes).
- Assisting with quality checking stock upon arrival and notifying Purchasing for booking in.
- Organising goods placement with clear labelling for easy retrieval.
- Coordinating with Purchasing to arrange vendor collections via the company lorry.
- Picking & packing goods according to delivery notes.
- Ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are available for picking and packing.
- Optimising pick & pack processes for efficiency.
- Booking and arranging carriers, determining the best option for dispatch.
- Loading goods for dispatch.
- Planning delivery routes for company lorries when applicable.
- Work with Directors to produce necessary Risk Assessments.
- Serve as Fire Marshal for the Warehouse.
- Ensure visitor logs for the Warehouse are accurately maintained.
- Work with the Supply Chain Manager to keep Supplier and Subcontractor Approved lists up to date.
- All goods inwards checked & put away by close of business on the day of receipt (containers within 24 hours of delivery).
- Efficient stock replenishment and inventory counts.
- Accurate stock locations and mapping.
- Timely dispatch of goods (orders processed by 2:30 pm daily).
- Maintaining an up-to-date Fire Stock record.
- Ensuring vehicle/forklift servicing is up to date.
- Validating invoices by 4:30 pm daily.
- Maintaining high standards of warehouse and yard housekeeping.
