Manager opportunity within an established Manchester firm of Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors offering varied responsibilities and career progression.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The firm continues to grow and seeks to appoint an ACA / ACCA Qualified (or QBE) Accountant into a Manager position leading a client portfolio and overseeing a small team.

As Accounts Advisory Manager your duties and responsibilities will involve:

  • Managing a portfolio of SME, Owner Managed and Corporate business clients, typically c.£200k - £10m t/o;
  • Preparing monthly / quarterly management accounts and annual statutory accounts accurately, in accordance with standards, within budget and to deadlines;
  • Planning work and delegating to team members, providing guidance, mentoring and training;
  • Preparing corporation tax computations and returns ensuring accuracy and that all relevant tax is applied;
  • Liaising regularly with clients regarding the preparation of their accounts and management information, answering any relevant queries;
  • Meeting existing, new and prospective clients, building trust and strong working relationships
  • Maintaining high standards of work quality, accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of accounts / tax / bookkeeping;

THE PERSON

You will be an accounts professional able to demonstrate the following:

  • ACA / ACCA Qualified or QBE
  • Experience within Accountancy Practice - minimum c.5 - 7 years
  • Strong relationship skills, able to work with clients from all sectors
  • Broad experience of Accounts / Management Accounts, Tax Computations and able to provide business advice to clients
  • IT literate - familiar with Accounts Production software and bookkeeping systems such as Xero and Sage 50
