Teaching Personnel are working with an Outstanding Trust that provides outstanding education for pupils with Autism.

They are recruiting teachers for their EYFS class for pupils with autism. You will lead a class team and teach a class of 6-10 pupils, aged 4-11.

The school has a supportive and friendly ethos, a great environment, and a high quality of teaching and learning. You will access excellent training and professional development.

You do not need to have taught in a special school before as they offer great training and support. You do need a strong interest in SEND. Mainstream primary teachers are especially encouraged to apply.

Person Specification

- A clear understanding of the needs of pupils with Autism
- Evidence of Successful class teaching
- An ability to plan and implement good classroom practice and management
- The ability to devlop a specific curriculum area according to the needs of the school
- Effective behaviour support skills
- The ability to manage a class team and to direct support staff
- The ability to work as part of a multi-diciplinary team
- Ability to communicate clarly and effectively to students for whom communication is a major barrier to learning
- The ability to communicate effectively in writing
- A commitement to working in partnership with parents
- An understanding of and a commitement to Equal Opportunities
- Evidence of good/outstanding teaching. 


- Right to work in the UK
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status
- Have a DBS which is registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one
- Provide career references that cover a minimum of 24 months
- Must be availale Monday - Friday - Full-Time

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
