Our client is looking for a Transport Controller.

Job Overview

· Handle #removed# calls and emails daily, delivering excellent service.

· Accurately book jobs onto the system.

· Use the ACI system for scheduling and updates.

· Monitor and support drivers and customers during on-call weeks.

· Coordinate daily transport schedules to ensure deliveries/collections run smoothly.

· Allocate jobs to drivers and manage vehicle availability.

· Monitor driver performance, compliance, and route planning.

· Communicate with drivers throughout the day to resolve issues.

· Liaise with customers to provide updates and resolve queries.

· Maintain accurate records and documentation.

· Support operational efficiency and escalate issues when needed.

Skills & Experience Required

· Previous experience in a Transport Coordinator or scheduling role (essential).

· Strong knowledge of logistics/transport operations.

· Excellent telephone manner and confident communicator.

· Computer literate, with knowledge of MS Office and email systems.

· Ability to manage a high-volume workload and multitask effectively.

· Organised, detail-oriented, and proactive.
