SEN Teacher - Full-Time - Luton
Location: Luton
Start Date: September 2025 (or ASAP)
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 4:00pm, early finish on Fridays

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a number of well-established and supportive SEN schools in Luton, who are looking to appoint full-time SEN Teachers across both Primary and Secondary phases. These schools cater for pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), ADHD, and communication difficulties.

The Schools
These specialist settings provide a tailored curriculum and a nurturing environment to support pupils with a wide range of learning and developmental needs. Class sizes are small, and staff are well supported by experienced senior leaders, therapists, and specialist teams who work collaboratively to ensure the best outcomes for every child.

The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons suited to individual EHCPs and learning profiles

Create a structured and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and emotional well-being

Use a range of teaching approaches and resources suited to pupils with ASD, ADHD, and MLD

Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and therapists to track progress and support development

Foster positive relationships with parents and carers through regular communication and updates

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)

Experience teaching children or young people with SEND, particularly ASD and MLD

Strong understanding of inclusive education and differentiated planning

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

A calm, patient and flexible approach to teaching
