Kenna Recruitment are working with a leading residential property developer based in Kent, with a focus on delivering high-quality homes across the South East. Our portfolio includes a mix of traditional housing schemes and contemporary developments.

They are seeking an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. You will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of residential construction projects from land acquisition through to final handover, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare cost plans, budgets, and estimates during the pre-construction phase

* Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers, including tendering and contract negotiation

* Carry out monthly valuations, cost reporting, and final accounts

* Monitor project progress and advise on financial implications

* Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities

* Ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations

* Collaborate with internal teams including planning, design, and construction

Requirements:

* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field

* Minimum 3 years' experience as a QS, ideally within residential development or housebuilding

* Strong knowledge of UK construction contracts, particularly JCT

* Proficient in cost management software (e.g., COINS, Causeway, Excel)

* Excellent negotiation and communication skills

* Strong attention to detail and commercial acumen

* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites as required
