Job Title: Inventory Controller / Manager Location: Park Farm, Wellingborough Salary: £28,000 pro rata Job Type: Permanent, Full Time (Flexitime can be considered) Full Time Hours: Monday - Friday, hours per week Flexitime Hours: Monday - Friday, minimum 10:00 - 14:00 each day, minimum 20 hours and maximum hours per week The Company is part of a large worldwide housewares manufacturing and distribution group.

The successful candidate will work as part of the management team, the role is key to the ongoing success and development of the company.
The candidate will report directly to the Managing Director.
Job Purpose/Duty Summary: Inventory management for an average of 600 product lines sourced worldwide Demand planning/forecasting for all product lines to maintain high level of stock availability while minimising stock holding value Liaison with suppliers, overseas sourcing teams, management team, warehouse team and sales team, as appropriate for all related stock and purchasing activities Liaison with customers and the provision of stock reports Generation of purchase orders via Access Dimensions software and MS Excel Management of freight importation and customs clearance via UK import partner Booking stock on to system Resolution of purchase invoice discrepancies Investigate and adjust stock discrepancies within software Maintenance of product information within software Accurate administration and maintenance of records for all inventory control activities Co-ordination and data analysis for perpetual inventory counting, QC issues, claims and external audits Generate KPI data and reports for management meetings Implement improvement processes and systems to improve stock availability, reduce inventory stock holding levels and minimise costs Education/Experience: Experience of Inventory control management Good understanding of import process for goods from overseas Proficient IT skills in MS Office applications, particularly Excel to mid / advanced level Preferred working knowledge of Access Dimensions software or prepared to learn rapidly Analytical with problem solving skills Very organised with excellent administration and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines Good team player Benefits: Company Pension 20 days rising to 25 days holiday, plus Bank Holidays Death in service benefit Please click the APPLY button to send your CV & Cover Letter for this role.
